On October 24, 2025, during agricultural operations to prepare soil for winter crops (stubble cultivation), a fire broke out as a result of a short circuit in the electrical wiring of a Case IH Magnum tractor.
The fire spread rapidly, completely destroying the tractor. The Horsch Cultro 18TC cultivator attached to the unit sustained significant fire damage.
The incident occurred near the village of Shakhtarske in Pavlohrad District, Dnipropetrovsk Region — an area located in close proximity to the combat zone. Under wartime conditions, such incidents involve additional risks, including restricted access to the site, heightened safety requirements, and logistical challenges in conducting inspections and expert assessments.
Following the insured event, the circumstances of the incident were promptly documented, the damaged machinery was inspected, and an independent expert evaluation was arranged.
The insurance indemnity was paid in full, amounting to over UAH 7.4 million.
